Fibroscan and Liver steatosis assessment

 Fibroscan is a  non invasive way of  assessing the amount of fibrosis (scarring) in the liver.  This is similar to ultrasound scan. The test takes about 10-15 mins to do and would not need any preparation apart from not having any calorie containing food for 3 hours.  The results are available immediately and will be discussed with the patient at the time.
